The FBI's Miami Field Office is seeking information from the public regarding the murders of Lavel and Hezekiah Mucherson. On June 2, 2019, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Lavel Mucherson and his 7-year-old son, Hezekiah, were killed in a drive-by shooting in the vicinity of Northwest 207th Street and 37th Avenue in Miami Gardens, Florida, while traveling northbound in a pick-up truck. According to investigators, a dark-colored vehicle pulled next to the truck and opened fire on both victims.
