The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for the homicide of Jeronimo Valladares-Mata.


The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Chico, California, Police Department are seeking information from the public to help solve the unsolved murder of Jeronimo Valladares-Mata.  On April 6, 2013, officers from the Chico Police Department responded to a report of a gunshot victim located at 3549 Esplanade in Chico.  Upon arrival, officers discovered Jeronimo Valladares-Mata, a 52-year-old Corning resident who had sustained a gunshot wound, seated inside a small pick-up truck.  Officers secured the crime scene and Valladares-Mata was transported to an area hospital for treatment; however, he died six days later as the result of his injuries.
