The FBI's Salt Lake City Field Office and law enforcement officials in Utah and Wyoming are seeking the public’s assistance obtaining firsthand information about Dereck James Harrison ("DJ").

Authorities are specifically interested in the whereabouts and activities of Harrison between Tuesday, May 10, 2016, through the early morning hours of Saturday, May 14, 2016.

Law enforcement agencies began searching for Derrick James Harrison and his father, Flint Wayne Harrison on May 10, 2016, after the men were accused of kidnapping and assaulting a mother and her four daughters in Centerville, Utah.

Two days later, on May 12, 2016, Utah Transit Authority worker Kay Ricks disappeared. Ricks’ body was subsequently found in Lincoln County, Wyoming. His work truck, a white Ford pickup with a bed-mounted equipment rack and Utah Transit Authority insignia, was located in Sublette County, Wyoming. Authorities have identified the Harrisons as potential persons of interest, and are working to establish the extent of contact the Harrisons may have had with Ricks.

DJ Harrison was arrested on May 14,2016, near Pinedale, Wyoming. Harrison has since been charged with the Centerville kidnapping in Utah’s 2nd District Court. Flint Wayne Harrison is deceased.
