Seeking Information in Kansas City Mobile Phone Store Robberies

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual responsible for the robberies of two Boost Mobile stores in Kansas City on July 28 and August 13. This case is being investigated as part of the Department of Justice's Operation Legend, a coordinated federal and local law enforcement initiative to fight violent crime.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual responsible for the robberies.

Details:

On July 28, 2020, at 3:45 p.m., an unknown male subject robbed the Boost Mobile at 1666 E. 63rd Street in Kansas City, Missouri. The suspect produced a handgun from a dark colored backpack and had a yellow iPhone. The suspect was wearing a "Mexico" hat, black tank top and worn blue jeans. The suspect displayed a firearm in the robbery and escaped on foot.

 

On August 13, 2020, from approximately 10:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., another robbery took place at the Boost Mobile at 5906 Prospect Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. A suspect, matching the description of the suspect in the July 28th robbery, entered the Boost Mobile. The suspect was also wearing a "Mexico" hat, backpack and carrying a firearm matching the description of the first robbery. The suspect escaped on foot.

 

This case is being investigated as part of the Department of Justice's Operation Legend, a coordinated federal and local law enforcement initiative to fight violent crime.
