Details:

The FBI Washington Field Office's Violent Crimes Task Force, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police Department, is interested in identifying several individuals who are responsible for burglarizing numerous Washington, DC-based small businesses and commercial establishments. 


On May 31, 2020, at approximately 10:31 p.m., a group of individuals attempted to burglarize a Suntrust Bank and two ATM machines located in the 900 block of 17th Street NW.  The same group of individuals is believed to have then moved to the Mervis Diamond Importers store located in the 1700 block of K Street NW, Washington, DC.  The individuals destroyed the front door, entered the store, and stole an unspecified amount of merchandise. 


This group is believed to be responsible for several other break-ins in the 1700 block of I Street NW, K Street NW, L Street NW, the 900 block of 17th Street NW, and the 1100 block of Connecticut Avenue NW.
