The FBI is offering a reward of up to $6,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for this crime. Additional reward money may be available.


The El Paso Division of the FBI, the Tigua Tribal Police, and the El Paso Police Department are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the person or persons responsible for vandalizing the "Nestora Granillo Piarote" statue located adjacent to the Ysleta del Sur Cultural Center on the Tigua Reservation in El Paso, Texas.


It is believed the vandalism occurred sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on Monday, October 9, 2017, which was Columbus Day. The statue had red paint poured on it, and a large, red wooden cross was placed in front of it. The cross had white letters on it.
