Information is being sought in connection with the 2009 murder of James Owen Kitterman, a U.S. citizen and government contractor, in Baghdad, Iraq. Kitterman, age 60, was last seen alive on May 21, 2009, at approximately 9:00 p.m. (2100) local time, inside the Green Zone, Baghdad. The following day, May 22, 2009, Kitterman's body was found in his vehicle that was located inside the Green Zone.
Kitterman was the owner and operator of Peregrine Eyes (now defunct), a private construction company that was under contract with the U.S. government and operating in Baghdad. At the time of his death, Kitterman was overseeing the construction of a helipad at the U.S. Consulate in Baghdad inside the Green Zone. Kitterman's office and residence were also located on a compound inside the Green Zone.
