Mollie Halpern: FBI special agents need your tips to help them in their continued search for a convicted murderer last seen 45 years ago. A reward of up to $10,000 is available for information leading directly to the arrest of Leonard Rayne Moses.

During the Pittsburgh riots of 1968, Moses was with friends when one of them threw a Molotov cocktail into the home of 70-year-old Mary Amplo. Case agent Mark Danna says the Molotov cocktail…

Mark Danna: …landed in her living room while she was watching television, and it lit her clothes on fire.

Halpern: Mary suffered third-degree burns, contracted pneumonia, and died three months later.

Moses was serving a life sentence for the crime but during an escorted trip to his grandmother’s funeral, he escaped from custody.

Danna: I will not give up until Leonard Moses is found.

Halpern: Moses would be 63 years old. He has ties to Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. He may be living under the name Rennie Hoskins or Lukie. He has a circular scar near his right eye.

If you have information about this case, contact your local FBI office. With Wanted by the FBI, I’m Mollie Halpern of the Bureau.
