Mollie Halpern: The FBI and its local law enforcement partners are asking for your tips to help them solve the brutal murder of Theresa Dashewich.

Theresa was found beaten to death and left in a culvert off Interstate 90 near mile marker 172, two hours east of Rapid City, near Kadoka, South Dakota, this week last year. She was 47 years old.

FBI Special Agent Michelle Gruzs…

Michelle Gruzs: Theresa’s last moments of life were so violent, and the FBI is very concerned that her killer is still out there.

Halpern: Jeff Goble is the case agent for the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation…

Jeff Goble: Doing some investigation it was discovered that the last place she was observed was on 6/13/2014 in the Billings, Montana area at a Flying J and a Pilot truck stop.

Halpern: Theresa lived a transient lifestyle for 15 years and traveled across the country with truck drivers.

Goble: She’s been in the southern part of the United States, she’s been on the West Coast, she’s been in the Midwest…

Halpern: This case was added to the FBI’s Highway Serial Killings Initiative, which assists in investigations involving violent crime victims who have some nexus to the highways.

Gruzs: The FBI opened a federal kidnapping investigation once evidence revealed Theresa was held against her will.

Halpern: The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of Theresa’s murderer. If you have information, dial 1-800-CALL-FBI.
