Mollie Halpern: Look closely at this man. The FBI needs to know if you recognize him.

The unidentified man, known as John Doe 29, may have critical information about the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation.

Investigators discovered a series of photos in which a pre-pubescent blonde-haired girl is being sexually abused.

The exception was this one, where John Doe appears to be posing with the girl, who is wearing Nike Velcro sneakers, in an outdoor setting. It could be in America or elsewhere.

The FBI is seeking information that will lead us to John Doe 29. Special Agent Amanda Strickland emphasizes that the FBI is not accusing John Doe of committing the abuse.

Amanda Strickland: We were hoping that clues and evidence and tips provided by the public will help us locate John Doe so we can interview him about the location of the victim.

Halpern: As you can see, John Doe is a male between the ages of 30 and 45.

Strickland: He’s got tan complexion, very dark hair—not quite shoulder length—he’s wearing a large ring on his left hand, and it looks like his ring finger.

Halpern: In exploitative photos, we what appears to be a different hand—the offender’s hand.

Strickland: His ring is on a different finger. Definitely a different complexion.

Halpern: Investigators ultimate goal is to the rescue the girl victim and put the perpetrator behind bars.

Strickland: We’re trying to stop further continued sexual abuse of this child. We believe that it’s still ongoing.
