Hello. I’m Rachel Rojas, special agent in charge of the FBI Jacksonville Division.

I want to take a moment to recognize the accomplishments of thousands of students across Northern and Central Florida who are preparing to graduate from high school or college and enter their next phase in life.

You’ve worked so hard to get this point–late nights studying, focusing, pushing yourself to finish projects and achieve goals that will open doors and lead to new and exciting challenges.

But right now, life doesn’t look like what you thought it would look like; you’re unable to celebrate your accomplishments in the ways you had planned, with the people who have stood by you.

But I want you to know that it doesn’t mean that you’re alone, or that reaching this milestone is any less significant.

Soon enough, you’ll be able to gather with your loved ones and, if you choose, walk across a stage and get that much-deserved diploma.

Until then, I hope you will look for ways that you can make a difference.

A wise man once said that in times like this, we should look for the helpers, and right now they are all around us.

I hope you will take this time to look to those helpers for inspiration, and just maybe you’ll find an open door that you didn’t see before.

On behalf of the entire FBI Jacksonville staff, we are proud of you, and we look forward to seeing all the good that you will do for our future – in whatever career path you choose. Congratulations.
