Video Transcript

Carol Black (Tree of Life survivor): This has been a marvelous experience and I would recommend it.

Special Agent in Charge Kevin Rojek (covered by video): So, Citizens Academy is an outstanding opportunity for people in the private sector…

(Video fades to show Rojek): … people in our communities to learn what it is that the FBI does.

Rojek: Most people don’t understand who we are or what we do on a daily basis. So we provide them with an opportunity…

Rojek (covered by video): … to have a hands-on experience of what the FBI is. We take our Citizens Academy participants out to the range. They get to shoot. They get to see what our SWAT team does, examples of our Evidence Response Team, hands-on opportunities to dust for fingerprints, to cast molds for footprints…

Rojek (up full): …and to really experience what our agents, our analysts, and what our professional staff employees do on a daily basis.

Black: With the FBI, and all of the different areas in which they work to protect American citizens, its good to know.

Rojek: They’ve kind of seen behind the curtain. And now we ask them to be our ambassadors, to go out to interact with our communities, to tell them what it is that we do.

Black: It’s been a wonderful experience and I’m really grateful for this opportunity.
