My name is Erica. I’m an intelligence analyst, and I work for the Operational Technology Division, and I'm in the Technical Intelligence Unit. I’ve been with the Bureau for six years now and the government in general for 11 years. So, in TIU, we research and analyze technology to see how the Bureau uses it and to see how it’s used in the world and how it may affect the Bureau, its missions, and its operations.

Day-to-day for an intelligence analyst is literally different every day, sometimes hour-by-hour. I would say everyone that I’ve met at the FBI, everyone that I’ve had the privilege to work with, was very dedicated. Everybody is very dedicated to the mission, everybody is very dedicated to getting the bad guys off the street.

We need people of different educations and different backgrounds to come to bring that different aspect to the intelligence, that fresh set of eyes, because we all look at things differently.
