Andrew Peter Dabbs, also known as Peter Dabbs, is wanted by the FBI for the brutal murder of his girlfriend, Robin Shea. Shea was just 20 years old when Dabbs shot her in the chest with a 45-caliber revolver while the couple was driving through Norton, Massachusetts. Dabbs pushed her body out of the vehicle and left her on the side of Route 123 where she was later found by a passing motorist.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the brutal murder, and the FBI is now offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to Andrew Dabbs’ arrest.
FBI Special Agent Sarah DeLair is constantly pursuing new investigative strategies to try and close this case.
DeLair: Andrew Dabbs is a Black man with brown eyes and would now be 78 years old. He was an auto mechanic, who was known to use drugs and his last known address was in Derry, New Hampshire. At this point in time, we’re not sure if he’s still on the run, or if he’s even still alive. But we do know he has ties to Massachusetts, Colorado, Indiana, Florida, New York, and Pennsylvania. We’re working with our law enforcement partners to do everything that we can to bring him to justice, and we’re asking the public to review Dabbs’ wanted poster. Someone out there must know where he is, and we’re asking them to do the right thing and contact us.
Bringing Dabbs to justice would help bring Robin Shea’s family, especially her eldest sister, Joyce, some much needed closure.
Joyce: The reality is that this is really still unfinished. It’s unfinished in the sense that I’m talking about it and he’s out there somewhere. Maybe he’s dead, and if he is, I would love to know that. And if he isn’t dead, if he’s alive, he needs to pay for what he did. He murdered another human being.
Andrew Peter Dabbs is considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information about where Dabbs is, or where he has been, please contact your local FBI office or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov. No amount of information is too small or irrelevant.
