Franklin County Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Child Pornography Charges

ST. LOUIS—The United States Attorney’s Office announced today that RANDALL LATHAM, Sullivan, Missouri, pled guilty to one felony count of receipt of child pornography.

He appeared today before United States District Judge Henry E. Autrey. Sentencing has been set for August 1, 2011.

Receipt of child pornography carries a penalty range of five to 20 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000. In determining the actual sentences, a judge is required to consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, which provide recommended sentencing ranges.

This case was investigated by the Sullivan, Missouri Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
