U.S. Attorney’s Office September 28, 2011 |
ST. LOUIS—The United States Attorney’s Office announced today that a fourth man has been indicted for the August 2010 robbery of ATM Solutions.
AARON HASSAN JOHNSON, St. Louis, Missouri, was indicted by a federal grand jury on one felony count of armed robbery and one felony count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. He appeared in federal court earlier today.
If convicted, the robbery charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000; the firearms charge carries a penalty of seven years prison consecutive to the penalty imposed on the robbery charge. In determining the actual sentences, a judge is required to consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, which provide recommended sentencing ranges.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Tom Mehan is handling the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
As is always the case, charges set forth in an indictment are merely accusations and do not constitute proof of guilt. Every defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty.
