St. Charles Man Indicted on Federal Child Pornography Charges

ST. LOUIS, MO—The United States Attorney’s Office announced today that Jason Hunt was indicted on charges of receipt and possession of child pornography for his alleged activities between May and September 2009.
JASON HUNT, St. Charles, Missouri, was indicted by a federal grand jury on one felony count of receipt of child pornography and one felony count of possession of child pornography. If convicted, receipt carries a penalty range of five to 20 years in prison and/or a fine up to $250,000; possession carries a maximum of 10 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000.
This case was investigated by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the Regional Computer Crimes Education and Enforcement Group and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Rob Livergood is handling the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
As is always the case, charges set forth in an indictment are merely accusations and do not constitute proof of guilt. Every defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty.
