Jefferson County Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Child Pornography Charges

ST. LOUIS, MO—The United States Attorney’s Office announced today that Jerry E. Torbet entered a guilty plea to possession of child pornography for his possession of the images on July 28, 2009.

JERRY E. TORBET, Fenton, Missouri, pleaded guilty to one felony count of possession of child pornography this morning before United States District Judge Henry Autrey. He now faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000 when he is sentenced on January 5, 2011.

This case was investigated by St. Louis County Police Department, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Carrie Costantin is handling the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
