Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested and Charged

Acting Special Agent in Charge Ronald T. Hosko has announced the arrest of 36-year-old Calvin Reed. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police arrested Reed Thursday (8/26) evening around 7:00 p.m. at an apartment complex in North St. Louis without incidence.
Investigators found evidence from the bank robbery at Southern Commercial Bank that helped identify Reed. Today, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri charged Reed, who is from the St. Louis area, with one count of felony bank robbery at:

8/24/10 - Bank of America
6639 S. Kingshighway Blvd.
St. Louis, MO
8/4/10 - Regions Bank
4706 S. Kingshighway Blvd.
St. Louis, MO
In all three hold ups, the robber used a demand note which stated he had a weapon, the surveillance photos of the robber are similar and witness descriptions are similar.
