The Roscoe Bandit Robs Two More Banks, Spread Widely Across Washington State

The Roscoe Bandit has allegedly robbed again, this time at a bank in Olympia and—a week later—at a bank in Spokane. There are now four bank robberies attributed to this bandit:

  • Monday, July 28, 2014—HomeStreet Bank on East Broadway, Seattle, Washington
  • Tuesday, July 29, 2014—Wells Fargo Bank on Third Avenue, Seattle, Washington
  • Thursday, October 30, 2014—Timberland Bank on Washington Street SE, Olympia, Washington
  • Friday, November 7, 2014—Numerica Credit Union on W. Riverside Avenue, Spokane, Washington

The subject may be a light-complexioned black male in his late 30s, around 6’0” tall. During the robberies, he’s worn a baseball cap and sunglasses. The robber appears to be armed with a handgun. The apparently long-barreled revolver led investigators to give the bandit a nickname based on an early 19th century nickname for a handgun.

Anyone with information as to the identity or whereabouts of the suspected robber should refrain from approaching him and is urged to contact law enforcement immediately.
