FBI and San Diego Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify California Coast Credit Union Robber

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the California Coast Credit Union, 9835 Mira Mesa Boulevard, San Diego, California, on Saturday, January 14, 2012.

On Saturday, January 14, 2012, at approximately 10:30 a.m., an unknown male entered the California Coast Credit Union, located at 9835 Mira Mesa Boulevard, San Diego, California, and conducted a takeover-style robbery. The robber entered the bank and walked up to an open teller window. The robber pointed a gun towards the ceiling and announced he was there to rob the credit union. The robber demanded money from three tellers who all provided him a sum of money. After receiving a sum of money, the robber exited the bank and was last seen entering a newer model charcoal grey Toyota Corolla. The vehicle did not have any license plates displayed and the driver was believed to be a male. The vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on I-15 from Mira Mesa Boulevard.

Age: Approximately 40 years old
Height: Approximately 5’8” to 5’10”
Weight: Unknown
Build: Unknown
Hair: Possibly gray
Facial Hair: Unshaven possible mustache
Eyes: Color unknown
Clothing: Black hooded puffy jacket, tan pants, and white tennis shoes
Weapon: Black handgun
