FBI and San Diego Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify HSBC Bank Robber

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the HSBC Bank, located at 225 Broadway, San Diego, California, on Monday, December 12, 2011.

On Monday, December 12, 2011, at approximately 11:30 a.m., an unknown male robbed the HSBC Bank, located at 225 Broadway, San Diego, California. At the time of the robbery, the robber approached a teller and presented a demand note for money. The robber told the teller he was armed with a gun, but did not display a weapon. The robber motioned to his waist band indicating that he was armed. The robber threatened the teller with bodily harm if he/she did not comply with his demand. The teller provided a sum of money to the robber. The robber walked out of the bank and left in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.

The robber is described as follows:

  • Race: White
  • Sex: Male
  • Age: Approximately 25 years old
  • Height: Approximately 5’10” tall
  • Weight: Approximately 180 lbs.
  • Hair: Black
  • Clothing: Gray long-sleeve shirt, white undershirt, dark pants, and brown shoes
