FBI and Escondido Police Department Seek Public's Assistance to Identify Wells Fargo Bank Robbers

The FBI and Escondido Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify three unknown males responsible for robbing the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 1510 West Valley Parkway, Escondido, California, on Tuesday, November 16, 2010.

On Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 1510 West Valley Parkway, Escondido, California, was robbed by three unknown males. According to witnesses, at approximately 3:00 p.m., three black males arrived at the bank in a silver Toyota Camry. As the robbers exited the vehicle, one of the robbers accosted a customer in the parking lot stealing her phone. All three robbers entered the bank and ordered customers to the ground as two of the robbers jumped over the counter. At least one of the robbers was armed with a handgun. The robbers ordered the tellers to open their cash drawers. The tellers complied and two of the robbers removed cash from the tellers’ cash drawers. The robbers exited the bank after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money.

Witnesses describe the robbers as black males, wearing hooded sweatshirts, jeans, gloves, stocking-type masks, and carrying sacks. Two of the robbers were described as being approximately 6’0” tall with thin builds. The third robber was described as being approximately 5’9” tall with a medium build.
