FBI and El Cajon Police Department Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Wells Fargo Bank Robber

The FBI and El Cajon Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Wells Fargo Bank, 1235 Avocado Avenue, El Cajon, California.

On Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at approximately 2:35 p.m., the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 1235 Avocado Avenue, El Cajon, California, was robbed by an unknown male. The robber approached the victim teller and made a verbal demand for money. The teller complied with the robber’s demand and provided him with a sum of money. After receiving the money, the robber exited the bank. The robber may have left the area in a red four door car, possibly a Nissan sports car with a pit bull dog inside of the vehicle.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: White
  • Age: Approximately 30 - 40 years old
  • Height: Approximately 5’8” to 5’10” tall
  • Build: Medium
  • Hair/Coloring: Brown goatee and mustache
  • Tattoos: Tattoos on front of neck and ears
  • Clothing: Black zip-up jacket, tan pants, and black baseball cap
