FBI Seeks Public’s Assistance to Identify Bank Robber

The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male believed to be responsible for three San Diego County bank robberies.

The individual’s most recent robbery occurred on Friday, February 5, 2010, at approximately 3:00 p.m. when he entered the Wells Fargo, located at 826 3rd Avenue, Chula Vista, CA. The robber, carrying blue merchant bank bags and a black day planner, threatened the teller with a black semiautomatic handgun.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

Sex: Male
Race: Hispanic
Age: Early 30s
Height: 5’8” to 5’10”
Weight: 160 to 180 pounds
Build: Average
Hair: Dark and unshaven

He is also believed to be responsible for robbing the following San Diego County banks:

November 6, 2009 – North Island Federal Credit Union, 1101 Palm Ave., Imperial Beach

December 2, 2009 – North Island Federal Credit Union, 1101 Palm Ave., Imperial Beach

The robber displayed a black semiautomatic handgun during the FIRST and THIRD robberies, not during the second.
