FBI Arrests Man for $1 Million Fraud Scheme

FBI San Antonio July 16, 2009
  • Special Agent Michelle Lee (210) 650-6333

Ralph G. Diaz, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the San Antonio Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), announced today the arrest of Jeff Perry for ten counts of Wire Fraud.

A federal grand jury indictment, returned on Wednesday and unsealed today, charges Perry with ten counts of Wire Fraud. Upon conviction, Perry could face up to 30 years in prison. Beginning in 2006, Perry solicited investments for a business venture to produce a unique marble-type product for use in kitchen and bathroom fixtures called “Culture Pro.” After collecting over $1 million in investments, Perry allegedly never used the money for any business related development, testing, or investment. The victim investors were promised percentages of Perry’s company which never materialized.

This matter was investigated by the FBI, and it will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Bill Harris.
