Information: Federal Court Initial Appearances

The United States Attorney’s Office today announced that during a federal court session in Billings, Montana on August 5, 2015, before U.S. Magistrate Judge Ostby, the following individuals appeared:

  • BURHAN A. MALLAK, a 63-year-old resident of Billings, made an initial appearance on a complaint alleging possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. He is currently detained. If formally charged with this offense by indictment, MALLAK, faces 20 years in prison, $1,000,000 in fines and three years’ supervised release.. The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. PACER Case Reference: 15-65
  • DENISE KELLY MALLAK, a 47-year-old resident of Billings, made an initial appearance on a complaint alleging possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. She is currently detained. If formally charged with this offense by indictment, MALLAK, faces 20 years in prison, $1,000,000 in fines and three years’ supervised release.. The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. PACER Case Reference: 15-66
