  • District of Utah (801) 524-5682

SALT LAKE CITY—A federal grand jury returned an indictment Wednesday morning charging Mark Allen Call, age 37, of Layton, with two counts of bank robbery. The indictment alleges Call robbed Zions Bank located at 1420 South 300 West in Salt Lake City twice—once on February 13, 2013, and a second time on February 14, 2013.

Call is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Thursday at 3 p.m. before U.S. Magistrate Judge Evelyn Furse. The potential maximum penalty for each count of bank robbery is 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

Indictments are not findings of guilt. Individuals charged in indictments are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty in court.

The case is being investigated by the FBI and the Salt Lake City Police Department.
