Man Arrested in Connection with Stabbing on Fort Hall Indian Reservation
Public Assistance Leads to Arrest

The FBI Salt Lake City Division and Fort Hall Tribal Police Department announce the arrest of Arthur Fred, Jr., who was wanted for questioning in connection with a stabbing that occurred on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation on July 13, 2013. A tribal arrest warrant had been issued for Fred. Media coverage of the case resulted in tips from the public and led authorities to Fred on Saturday, July 20, 2013. Fred was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped while driving on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation. Fred and another person in the vehicle were taken into custody without incident. The FBI and the Fort Hall Tribal Police joint investigation is ongoing and both agencies would like to thank the media and the public for their attention to this matter.
