FBI Offers Up to $20,000 Reward in Rexburg Bank Robbery

The FBI Salt Lake City Division and the Rexburg, Idaho Police Department are requesting the public’s help in identifying an adult male who allegedly robbed East Idaho Credit Union located at 412 Grand Loop in Rexburg, Idaho, on Wednesday, November 7, 2012.

The subject is described as a male about 5’10” tall and weighing between 220-230 pounds. He entered the bank at approximately 4:30 p.m. and wore a mask, black gloves, a black coat with a hood, and baggy Levi jeans during the robbery.

It is believed he may have used an assault rifle during the robbery, ordered employees and customers into the vault, and was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money. He drove off in a dark blue sedan with tinted windows and a red and blue license plate. He was last seen heading south on South Yellowstone Highway.

FBI Special Agent in Charge David J. Johnson is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals who committed this bank robbery. Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI Salt Lake City Division, which oversees FBI operations in Idaho, at (801) 579-1400. Tips also can be e-mailed to SaltLakeCity@ic.fbi.gov. Law enforcement considers the subject to be armed and dangerous. The public is advised not to approach the individual and instead contact authorities.
