Worley Man Pleads Guilty to Assaulting Two People on Coeur D’Alene Reservation

COEUR D’ALENE—Timothy R. Allen, Jr., 19, of Worley, Idaho, pled guilty this morning in U.S. District Court in Coeur d’Alene to assault with a deadly weapon, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced.
Allen admitted in court that on March 12, 2011, on the Coeur d’Alene Indian Reservation, he intentionally assaulted Daniel J. Hutchins with a firearm by forcefully pushing the weapon into Hutchins’ body and verbally threatening him. Allen also admitted to intentionally assaulting Sharleen Archer by pointing the firearm at her and verbally threatening her.
Allen faces up to 10 years in prison, a maximum fine of $250,000, and up to three years of supervised release, on each count.
Sentencing is set for January 31, 2012, before U.S. District Judge Edward J. Lodge at the federal courthouse in Coeur d’Alene.
The case was investigated by Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
