U.S. Attorney's Office April 25, 2011
  • District of Idaho (208) 334-1211

Clyde Osborne, 19, of Fort Hall, Idaho, was sentenced today in federal court in Pocatello to 35 months in prison for abusive sexual contact, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced. U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill ordered Osborne to serve 10 years of supervised release following his prison term. Osborne pleaded guilty to the charge on January 28, 2011.

According to court documents, in January 2010, Osborne drove the 17-year-old female victim to a secluded area on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation. When the victim refused to have sexual relations with Osborne, he forcibly attacked her, placed his hand over her mouth, removed her clothing, bit her, and sexually assaulted her.

The case was investigated by the Fort Hall Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
