Seeking Victims of Identity Theft in Fraudulent PayPal Transactions Investigation

The FBI and other law enforcement agencies in Reno, Nevada have conducted an investigation in which it is alleged that identities were stolen and used to open PayPal accounts between 2012 and 2017.

The FBI is requesting anyone who believes their identity was stolen and used in a PayPal transaction during this time period complete the below questionnaire. If you are identified as a victim, you will be sent notifications as major case developments occur.

The FBI is also taking steps to share how victims can protect themselves and their accounts. The FBI advises that victims contact their credit card lender(s) to confirm that there is no fraudulent activity on their card(s).
