FIST Offers Up to $5,000 Reward in Armed Takeover Robbery

The Oregon Financial Securities Task Force (FIST) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the men responsible for a violent takeover bank robbery on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Two armed, masked men walked into the Chase Bank located at 30060 SW Boones Ferry Road, Wilsonville, at about 10:30 a.m. They approached the employees, demanded cash, received cash, and left the building. The men were carrying handguns. There were four employees in the bank at the time, and no one was injured.

Witnesses describe both men as having dark complexions. One man was about 5’11” tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black or dark-colored hoodie. The second man was about 5’9” tall and very thin. He was wearing a hoodie that was black and bluish/gray. Both men were wearing what may be neoprene-style face masks.

FIST is made up of representatives of financial institutions and law enforcement agencies. FIST works to help reduce crimes against Oregon financial institutions and their customers and employees. Final approval of any reward payment is solely within the discretion of FIST, based in part on the recommendation of law enforcement agencies.
