$5,000 Reward Offered in Takeover Robbery Case
Oregon Financial Institutions Security Task Force (FIST) Responds to Armed Robbery

The Oregon Financial Institutions Security Task Force (FIST) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the men responsible for an armed robbery on Friday, April 1, 2011. The suspects entered the Unitus Community Credit Union, 3820 Market Street NE in Salem, at 11:48 a.m., announced that it was a takeover robbery, and ordered everyone to the ground. Both were armed with black semi-automatic handguns, which they pointed at employees and customers. There were approximately a dozen people in the bank at the time. No one was hurt.

Race: White
Age: Mid to late 20s
Height: 6’0”
Weight/Build: 165 pounds, thin
Hair: Short (buzz cut-style) and brown
Clothing: Blue/gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt, jeans, sunglasses, black Converse-style shoes.

Suspect #2

Race: White
Age: Mid-20s
Height: 6’2”
Weight/Build: 185 pounds, medium to heavy build
Hair: Short, dirty blond. Also some facial stubble
Clothing: Blue/gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt, jeans, sunglasses
Other: Carrying a blue satchel

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI in Portland at (503) 224-4181 24 hours a day; the FBI in Salem at (503) 362-6601 during normal business hours; or the Salem Police Department at (503) 588-6050 ext. 7132.

Oregon FIST is a cooperative effort made up of representatives from banks, savings and loans, and credit unions, as well as representatives from local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. The purpose of FIST is to help reduce crimes.
