Judge Sentences Upper St. Clair Drug Dealer to 21 Years in Prison

PITTSBURGH—A resident of Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania has been sentenced in federal court to 262 months in prison, followed by 10 years’ supervised release, for violating federal drug trafficking laws, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Terrence F. McVerry imposed the sentence on David Curran, 29. Curran was convicted in August 2011 of conspiring to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine and then distributing cocaine.
Curran was ordered to begin the service of his sentence immediately. Curran was also ordered to forfeit his interest in real property located in Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania; a 2003 Land Rover automobile; $8,970 in United States currency that was seized on October 22, 2009; and $7,610 in United States currency that was seized on November 12, 2009. In addition, Curran was ordered to pay a money judgment in the amount of $1,080,000 as gross proceeds of the crimes he was convicted of committing.
