Pittsburgh Man Sentenced to Three Years in Prison for Cocaine Trafficking Conspiracy

PITTSBURGH, PA—Christopher Neiport, a resident of Pittsburgh, has been sentenced in federal court to 37 months in prison followed by four years’ supervised release for conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge Terrence F. McVerry imposed the sentence on Neiport, 34.
According to information presented to the court, from January 2009 to Dec. 15, 2009, Neiport conspired with others to distribute and possess with intent to distribute over one kilogram of cocaine.
Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller prosecuted this case on behalf of the United States.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Drug Enforcement Administration; the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police; the Pittsburgh Division of Weed and Seed; the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office; the Pennsylvania State Police; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; the United States Marshals Service; and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Neiport.
