CHARLESTON, WV—Debra Ann Tippner, 31, of Proctorville, Ohio, was sentenced today to 21 months in prison for aiding and abetting another person in stealing firearms. Tippner previously pleaded guilty in March 2010, admitting she served as a lookout for Joshua David Weddington, 29, of Alkol, West Virginia, while he burglarized a Lincoln County, West Virginia residence in November 2008.

Weddington was sentenced this past February to three years in prison for his role in the gun theft. At his plea hearing, Weddington admitted to stealing 13 firearms from the November 2008, burglary.

The West Virginia State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston handled the prosecution. United States District Judge John T. Copenhaver, Jr. presided over the proceedings.
