PHOENIX—Lorenzo Joe Baldwin, 44, of Keams Canyon, Arizona, was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge Earl H. Carroll to 41 months in prison for assaulting a 33-year-old member of the Navajo Nation. On May 10, 2010, Baldwin pleaded guilty in federal court to Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

On October 31, 2009, Baldwin’s son, the victim, the victim’s brother and others were together at the victim’s residence when the victim and Baldwin’s son began to box one another. As a result of the assault, the victim sustained serious head trauma.
