Robbery of Washington Savings Bank Branch in Philadelphia Last Week

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the October 21, 2015 robbery of the Washington Savings Bank branch located at 2548 East Lehigh Avenue.

He is believed also responsible for the April 4, 2014 robbery of the same Washington Savings branch.

At approximately 9:45 a.m. last Wednesday, the subject entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot.

The subject is described as a white male in his early to mid-30s, approximately 5’8” tall, thin build. In last week’s robbery, he wore a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, maroon pants, and a red and yellow painter’s-type respirator mask. In the 2014 robbery, he wore dark-colored clothing, a black knit cap, sunglasses, and a white surgical mask.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about these robberies or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There is a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
