New Jersey Man Sentenced to 120 Months in Federal Child Exploitation Case

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Ronald Baldwin, 28, of Somerdale, New Jersey was sentenced today by the United States District Court Judge John E. Jones III in Harrisburg, PA to 120 months in federal prison, to be followed by 60 months of supervised release. On October 1, 2014, Baldwin pleaded guilty to Coercion and Enticement of a minor.

According to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith, Baldwin enticed a 14 year old minor residing in the Middle District of Pennsylvania to exchange pornographic images and videos with him online. At the sentencing hearing today, the victim’s mother addressed Judge Jones on behalf of her daughter, describing the detrimental consequences the victim has suffered as a result of this case. The defendant chose to make no statement to the Court.

This case was jointly investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Meredith A. Taylor.
