Attempted Robbery of Viriva Community Credit Union Branch in Philadelphia Today

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the attempted robbery on June 24, 2014, of the Viriva Community Credit Union branch located at 7346 Frankford Avenue.

At approximately 11:46 a.m., the subject entered the bank and handed a teller a demand note. He eventually fled the bank without obtaining any money.

The subject is described as a white male, approximately 25-30 years old and 5’8-5’9” tall, slim to medium build, with scruffy facial hair. He wore a white T-shirt with the words “DREAM CHASERS/Never Sleep” on the front and dark-colored shorts, shoes, and baseball cap.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this attempted robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
