Suspected Serial Robber Hits Republic Bank Branch in Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery on March 11, 2013, of the Republic Bank branch located at 1818 Market Street in Center City West.

At approximately 12:20 p.m., the subject entered the bank and handed a teller a demand note. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank, apparently on foot.

The subject is described as a black male in his late 30s to early 40s, approximately 6’0” tall, slender build, with scruffy facial hair. He wore a black coat, jeans, sunglasses, a dark-colored knit cap, and light brown work boots.

This subject is believed to also be responsible for five other bank robberies, including one at this same Republic Bank branch on February 19. He is considered armed and dangerous.
