Robbery of PNC Bank Branch in Jenkintown

FBI Philadelphia February 16, 2013

The Abington Township Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the February 16, 2013 robbery of the PNC Bank branch located at 123 Old York Road in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.

At approximately 11:35 a.m., the subject entered the bank. He handed a teller a blue bag and a demand note that indicated he had a gun. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot. He was last seen heading east on Lenox Road toward Meetinghouse Road.

The subject is described as a male, possibly black or Hispanic, approximately 6’0” tall, with a husky build. He wore a mustard-brown work coat and maroon Phillies baseball cap.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Abington Township Police Department at 267-536-1100. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
