Robbery of Citizens Bank Branch in Bala Cynwyd

The Lower Merion Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for today’s robbery of the Citizens Bank branch located at 121 East City Line Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.

At approximately 10:47 a.m., the subject approached the bank, which is located inside an ACME Market. He handed a note to the teller demanding money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area in a dark-colored SUV.

The subject is described as a black male in his late 20s, 6’2” tall, with a goatee or possibly a beard. He wore a navy winter coat with furry trim on the hood, blue jeans, a grayish baseball cap with unknown writing, dark gloves, and dark shoes.

The subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Lower Merion Police Department at 610-649-1000. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture.
