Armed Robbery of 3rd Federal Bank Branch in Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the September 3, 2013 armed robbery of the 3rd Federal Bank branch located at 4625 Frankford Avenue in the city’s Frankford section.

At approximately 9:00 a.m., the subject entered the bank. He pointed a handgun at bank customers, verbally demanded cash from tellers, and pointed the gun at bank customers. After collecting an undisclosed amount of money in an orange bag, the subject fled on foot and was last seen heading southwest on Paul Street toward Orthodox.

The subject is described as a black male in his 20s to early 30s, approximately 5’11” tall, slim build; he wore a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with a white Nike “swoosh” logo on the left chest and a dark-colored baseball cap. He may also have been wearing blue and white sneakers. His handgun was a black and silver semi-automatic.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
