Robbery of Beneficial Bank Branch in Philadelphia

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to locate and identify the subject responsible for the Wednesday, April 3, 2012 robbery of the Beneficial Bank branch located at 5301 Chew Avenue in Philadelphia.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., the subject entered the branch and presented a threatening demand note to the teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, to include a dye pack, the subject fled the area on foot.

The subject is described as a black male, 25-30 years old, with a medium complexion and slim build; he was wearing a black baseball cap and a gray hooded sweatshirt with a black shirt underneath.

The subject is considered armed and dangerous. The subject may have red dye on hands or clothing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Philadelphia Police Department or the FBI at 215-418-4000. There may be a reward for information leading to the subject’s capture, and tipsters may remain anonymous.
