Philadelphia Man Charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Illegal Drugs

A five count indictment was unsealed today charging a defendant for his involvement in a conspiracy to distribute oxycodone, alprazolam, and codeine in the Philadelphia area, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. According to the indictment, Corey Lambert, a/k/a Corey Palmer, conspired with others to distribute, and possessed with intent to distribute, oxycodone on multiple dates between June 2008 and March 22, 2010.
If convicted of all charges, the defendant faces the following maximum possible sentence: 150 years’ imprisonment with a mandatory minimum of one year imprisonment, six years up to a lifetime of supervised release, $6,000,000 fine, and a $500 special assessment.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA); the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Office of Inspector General (HHS/OIG); Philadelphia Office of Inspector General; and the Philadelphia, Lansdowne, and Clifton Heights Police Departments. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Joan E. Burnes and Jessica Natali.
