Delaware County Man Charged with Blackmail and Impersonating a Federal Employee

Henry Hamidrez Mohajeri, 47, of Devon, Pennsylvania, was charged today by indictment with impersonating an employee and officer of the United States, extortion and attempted extortion under pretense of office, and blackmail, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger.

If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of seven years’ imprisonment, one year supervised release, and a $600,000 fine.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tomika N. Stevens.
