Huntingdon Valley Man Charged with Cashing Forged Checks

Neil Delafuente was charged today by information with one count of cashing forged checks, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. According to the information, Delafuente ran a check cashing business, ABC Check Cashing, Inc., located in Philadelphia, where he cashed forged checks for an individual that he knew was not the payee on the checks and who did not have authorization to negotiate the checks.

YEAR OF BIRTH: 1959

If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 10 years of imprisonment, three years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael S. Blume.
